PADI programs are performance based. You proceed as you demonstrate mastery of the course skills. We keep the Instructor to student ratio small and personal. This allows us to teach the class and pool all in one day. The open water training dives are held over a weekend. We complete 2 dives on a Saturday and 2 dives on a Sunday, each day will be about 4 hours long 8am-12pm.

We keep the Instructor to student ratio small and personal.

Before you attend class you need to read the entire PADI Open Water Diver manual. In that manual there are 5 chapters and at the end of each chapter is a knowledge review. The knowledge review is homework for class and consists of 15-20 short answer, multiple choice questions. The knowledge reviews must be completed by each student and is required for entry to class.

Once the classroom and pool session are completed you are required to-do 4 open water dives in a true open water environment. The open water dives are not scheduled yet but will begin in May . We hold these dives 2 times a month during our dive season so you will have plenty of time to finish your certification. The day before the weekend of your open water training dives you will have to stop into our store on that Friday between store hours of 11am to 7pm. This is when you will get fitted for the thicker 7mm wetsuit and pick up all your scuba gear for the open water training dive weekend.
